Why should a contractor use Doorsets?
• Reduced installation time – able to be fitted on site in a fraction of the time compared to a Door Blank with loose framing.
• Skills required to fit Doorsets are greatly reduced without affecting the quality of the final installation.
• Procurement – can cut the time required to procure all components by 50% AND ensures that the correct components are used.
• Certification and Testing – Because Doorsets are factory manufactured they are built to exacting tolerances and guaranteed standards. They have testing on durability, fire resistance, and acoustics – whereas traditional supply cannot guarantee this and are heavily reliant on the skills of the joiner and the procurement of the proper components.
Why Timber Doorsets?
Timber is environmentally friendly and one of a few truly naturally renewable raw materials. Chain of Custody certification schemes are in place, both FSC and PEFC to ensure full compliance where required.
George Boyd and Jewson Ltd are part of Saint-Gobain Building Distribution UK, the largest building distribution company
Jewson LTD has engaged in the Chain of Custody scheme, as well as achieving BS EN ISO 14001 accreditation as part of our commitment to the continual improvement or our environmental performance, and to satisfy our customers’ demands for more environmentally sound materials.
Chain of Custody Certification
Chain of Custody certification provides documented evidence that certified products originate from certified, well managed forests, and verifies that these products are not mixed with products from uncertified forests at any point in the supply chain, except under very strict controls when a percentage claim is being made.
George Boyd recognises that our customers are also increasingly aware of their own environmental responsibilities and have a desire to work
in partnership with organisations that are serious about environmental issues.
